Privacy Policy

On Top of Subs ("the app", "we") is a subscription tracker built and maintained by an independent developer. It is designed to keep your data on your device. You add your subscriptions yourself, and that information stays on your phone. We don't run an account system, we don't ask for your email, and we don't receive or store your subscription list on any server. This policy explains the small amount of data that is involved when you use the app, see ads, or make a purchase.
Your subscriptions stay on your device
The subscriptions, free trials, renewal dates and notes you enter are stored locally on your device. There is no login, no account, and no email required, and this information is not transmitted to us. We cannot see it. If your phone backs itself up (for example through iCloud or Google backup), that backup is controlled by Apple or Google under their terms, not by us.
What the app does not do
- No bank or card connection. The app does not connect to your bank, read your transactions, or scan your email. It only knows what you type into it.
- No money movement. We never see, move or touch your money, and we never receive your card or payment details.
- No selling of data. We don't sell your personal data. We don't hold your subscription data in the first place.
Ads (free version)
The free version shows ads through Google AdMob. To serve ads, AdMob may collect device and advertising identifiers and similar signals, as described in Google's policies. Where required, you'll be asked for tracking consent (for example Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt), and you can reset or limit your advertising ID in your device settings at any time. A one-time Lifetime purchase removes ads. See how Google uses data from apps that use its services.
Purchases
The optional Lifetime purchase is handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play, not by us, so we never receive your card details. We use RevenueCat to validate and restore purchases; RevenueCat receives the store's purchase receipt and an anonymous, app-generated identifier so your purchase can be confirmed and restored across your devices. Diagnostics
Apple and Google may share aggregate, anonymous crash and performance reports with the developer if you have allowed diagnostics in your device settings. These reports are not tied to your identity, and you can turn them off in your device's privacy settings.
Children
The app is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Your control and your rights
Because your subscription data lives on your device, you're in control: edit or delete entries at any time, or remove everything by uninstalling the app. For the limited data held by Google (ads) or RevenueCat (purchases), or to ask a question or make a request related to your rights, email privacy@ontopofsubs.com and we'll help, including passing requests on to those providers where needed.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "last updated" date above.
