How to cancel Peacock, wherever you're billed
Cancelling Peacock takes a minute once you know one thing: who takes your money. If you paid Peacock on its website, you cancel on peacocktv.com. If you signed up through an iPhone, an Android phone, a Roku, an Amazon device, Xfinity or Instacart+, Peacock can't stop the billing, and you have to cancel with that company. Here is every route, plus what happens to your access, annual plans and the sign-up-for-the-big-game approach.
Billed by Peacock: peacocktv.com/account/plans, then Cancel All Subscriptions
Billed by someone else: cancel with Apple, Google Play, Roku, Amazon, Xfinity, Instacart+ or your provider
Access: paid content stays on until your billing period ends
Refunds: none for past payments, unless the law requires one

Peacock sells its plans in a lot of places, and the place you signed up is the place you cancel. It doesn't matter whether you watch on a TV, a phone or a laptop. What matters is the billing channel.
- Sign in to your account on peacocktv.com in a web browser.
- Open the Subscriptions tab of your account.
- Look at the Payment Method section. A card or PayPal means Peacock bills you directly. A company name such as Apple, Google Play, Roku, Amazon or Xfinity means that company bills you.
Not sure from the account page? Your bank statement or email receipts usually settle it: a charge from Apple, Google, Roku or Amazon, or a line on your cable or internet bill, tells you where to go.
Cancel Peacock on peacocktv.com (billed directly)
If Peacock charges your card or PayPal itself, cancel in a web browser:
- Go to peacocktv.com/account/plans and sign in.
- Select Cancel All Subscriptions. This ends your base plan and any add-ons together.
- Follow the confirmation steps until Peacock confirms the cancellation.
- You'll see a confirmation on screen. Peacock also emails you, though the email can take a few hours to show up.
Only want to drop an add-on and keep your plan? On the Subscriptions tab, select the add-on and choose Remove Add-On, then confirm.
Billed through Apple (App Store)
If you subscribed inside the Peacock app on an iPhone, iPad or Apple TV and paid with your Apple Account, it's an App Store subscription. Peacock can't touch it; only Apple can stop it.
- On your iPhone or iPad, open Settings.
- Tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions.
- Tap Peacock, then Cancel Subscription, and confirm.
The same subscription can be cancelled from a Mac or a browser too, because it belongs to your Apple Account rather than one device. Full paths, including Mac, are in our App Store cancellation guide.
Billed through Google Play
If you subscribed inside the Peacock app on an Android phone or tablet and paid through Google, cancel in the Google Play subscriptions center. It works from any Android device or from a computer.
- Open the Google Play Store app and tap your profile icon.
- Tap Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
- Select Peacock, tap Cancel subscription and follow the prompts.
On a computer, go to play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions and sign in with the same Google account. More detail is in our Google Play cancellation guide.
Peacock billed through Apple or Google Play? One tap to the cancel screen
Add Peacock to On Top of Subs and mark how it's billed. For App Store or Google Play billing, one tap opens the store's own cancellation screen and you confirm there. If Peacock bills you directly, you get the steps above plus a reminder before the next charge, which is handy if you only subscribed for a season. No bank login, no account. Free on iOS & Android.
Roku, Amazon, Xfinity, Instacart+ and other providers
Peacock's help center lists Apple, Amazon, Google Play, Roku, Spectrum, Verizon, Xfinity and DIRECTV among the third parties that can bill for Peacock, and says you must contact that provider to cancel. Here is where to go for the common ones.
- Roku: if you subscribed through Roku, go to my.roku.com/subscriptions, choose Peacock under your active subscriptions, select Manage subscription and turn off auto-renew. Roku says you keep watching until the billing period ends.
- Amazon: if Amazon bills you (for example, you subscribed on a Fire TV or as a Prime Video channel), cancel from Your Memberships and Subscriptions in your Amazon account on amazon.com.
- Xfinity: if Peacock came with or was added through your Xfinity service, Peacock sends you to Xfinity Support for billing and cancellation. Cancelling Xfinity itself is a bigger job; see our Xfinity cancellation guide.
- Instacart+: eligible Instacart+ members get Peacock Premium included. Instacart says you can cancel it any time from the Peacock benefit in your Instacart+ account, and that access lasts only while you stay an eligible Instacart+ member. Cancelling Instacart+ is done in Instacart, not on Peacock.
- Spectrum, Verizon, DIRECTV or another provider: contact that provider. Their cancellation terms can differ from Peacock's.
What happens after you cancel
- You keep paid access until the period ends. Cancelling stops the next renewal. Premium or Premium Plus content stays available until your current billing cycle is over.
- Then you drop to limited free viewing. Peacock says you can still watch a limited amount of content for free after your paid plan ends, and you can upgrade again from your account whenever you like.
- No refund for what you already paid. Peacock's policy is no refunds or credits for prior payments when you cancel or downgrade, unless the law requires it. If Apple, Google Play or another provider billed you, their refund rules apply instead.
- Timing matters. Peacock's terms say to cancel no later than the day before your next billing date to avoid being charged for the next term.
Signed up through a free trial or promo? Peacock's terms say the regular price is charged when a trial or promotional period ends unless you cancel first. If it's billed through the App Store, Apple recommends cancelling at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Whether you keep watching for the rest of a trial after cancelling depends on where you're billed, so check your account once you've cancelled.
Annual plans
Peacock plans renew for a term of the same length as the one you have, monthly or annual. Cancelling an annual plan works exactly like a monthly one: you use the same route for your billing channel, and you keep access until the year you paid for runs out. What you don't get is money back for the unused months, because Peacock doesn't issue prorated refunds unless the law requires it.
The practical move with an annual plan is to cancel early, any time after you've decided you won't renew. Nothing is lost by cancelling in month two rather than month eleven, and it removes the risk of forgetting the renewal date.
Signing up just for a game or a season
A lot of people subscribe to Peacock for one event or one sports season, then forget about it for a year. You can avoid that with the access rule above:
- Choose a monthly plan, not annual, when you only need it for a short stretch.
- Subscribe before the event.
- Cancel straight away, the same day if you like. You still keep access until that month ends, so you can watch the event and nothing renews afterwards.
- Need several months for a full season? Leave the plan running and cancel during the last month you need. A reminder a few days before each renewal makes that easy to time.
If you subscribed through Apple, Google Play, Roku or another provider, the same idea applies, but double-check that provider's terms on when access ends.
Frequently asked questions
If Peacock bills you directly, sign in at peacocktv.com/account/plans in a browser, select Cancel All Subscriptions and confirm. If Apple, Google Play, Roku, Amazon, Xfinity or another provider bills you, Peacock cannot cancel it for you, so you cancel with that provider.
Yes, until the end of the billing period you already paid for. After that, Peacock says you can still watch a limited amount of content for free. If a third party bills you, their cancellation terms may differ.
Generally no. Peacock says no refunds or credits are issued for prior payments when you cancel or downgrade Premium or Premium Plus, unless required by law. That includes the unused months of an annual plan.
Usually because Peacock is not the one billing you. Check the Payment Method section on the Subscriptions tab of your Peacock account. If it shows Apple, Google Play, Roku, Amazon, Xfinity or another provider, cancel there instead.
Peacock directs Xfinity customers to Xfinity Support for billing and cancellation of a Peacock plan set up through Xfinity. Peacock itself cannot cancel it.
Yes. On a monthly plan you can cancel the same day you subscribe and still keep access until the end of that month, because cancelling only stops the next renewal. Just do not pick an annual plan for a single event.
